The delightful Mz Darklighter… full of ideas, encouragement, and life – she’s simply amazing. We’ve known each other for, gosh, 13 years now??? So I feel pretty darn qualified to say whether she’s amazing or not. Trust me.
My family moved around a LOT when I was younger, but usually it was to bigger cities. Moving to Small Town, Midwest was a bit of a shock to say the least. The graduating class in the high school I was going to attend had more kids in it than then entire school system had in the town I was moving to.
Culture shock.
This girl helped me through everything – puppy love, bizarre crushes, insane homework assignments, finishing stories for the yearbook, and she was even in on throwing a s’prise party for me at lunch one day, complete with li’l hostess cakes and candles.
We skipped school to catch the re-release of Star Wars, which she wound up ‘fessing up for to the vice principal. Honest, caring and striving to the do right thing… she’s fantastic. Just don’t sit next to her at lunch when she’s eating applesauce. >;o) Love ya babe!!!
